Shawn Levy (“Deadpool 3”) negotiates his incorporation into “Star Wars” to direct an upcoming movie

“Star Wars” seems to be the ultimate goal of many directors. There is Rian Johnson who, despite having already fulfilled his dream by putting himself behind the cameras of ‘The Last Jedi’, he is unwilling to take on the complexity of his own agenda, letting go of that trilogy that he would have pending; or Kevin Feige, who despite having his plate more than full of Marvel Cinematic Universe, would produce an upcoming film in the saga written by Michael Waldron (“Loki”). Half of Hollywood seems to want to move into the most coveted galaxy of science fiction.

Shawn Levy would be the last director to pack his bags for that galactic world, at least that’s what Deadline says in a report that gained credibility from the hand of the director himself, who did not hesitate to share screenshots of the article, showing himself very enthusiastic. This is stated by the aforementioned North American media Levy is already negotiating his incorporation into “Star Wars” as the director of one of the upcoming films. At the moment the plot details are unknown, and the only thing that anticipates the news is that Levy should first close all the projects he has pending, including two very powerful: ‘Deadpool 3’ and ‘Stranger Things’. This director will go behind the scenes of the upcoming Mercenary with the Mouth starring Ryan Reynolds, a film set to start shooting shortly before the summer of 2023; and directing at least two episodes of the fifth and final season of Netflix’s hit fantasy series is still pending.

Furthermore, the possibility is in the air that he should also direct the sequel to “Free Guy”, a film for which Disney, via 20th Century Studios, is considering several sequels.
