Oscar and Emmy winning director Ron Howard (A brilliant mind, Development stopped) has signed on to direct a real crime thriller titled Origin of the species, which he will also produce through his production company Imagine Entertainment. The screenplay was written by Noah Rose (Genius: Areta, The show).
The story “is about an unlikely group of people who independently turn their backs on society. Each fueled by a deep desire for change, they leave everything behind and bet their future in the most unlikely of places: the rugged landscape of the Galapagos “.
Howard is said to have explored the locations and met with the actors, and this project is emerging as a priority. I’m a huge Howard fan, so I’m looking forward to this movie. We’ll let you know more as it develops.
