The nine-episode first season is set 20 years after the end of modern civilization as we know it., and develops around Joel (Pascal) and Ellie (Ramsey), two survivors who face a terrible threat. Thus, a couple of decades after Outbreak Day, a fateful day in which started spreading a parasitic fungus that turns humans into clickers, bloodthirsty monsters; the mercenary Joel, is hired to get 14-year-old Ellie out of the quarantine zone. The target? May Ellie meet the Fireflies, a resistance group that continues to seek a cure for the epidemic.
Gabriel Luna, Anna Torv, Murray Bartlett, Nick Offerman, Melanie Lynskey or Storm Reid complete the cast of this television drama that adapts the Naughty Dog video game that the specialized press loved so much. Neil Druckmann, creator of the game and co-showrunner, leads this project that sees Craig Mazin (“Chernobyl”) as co-showrunner and co-writer.
