Actor Kevin Bacon he is known for so many great films in his career, namely Loose, Flatliner, Few good men, Apollo 13, Sleepers, mystical river, Stupid, crazy love.and many more, so it was fun to see him go through some of the highlights and some of the lesser known films in a recent interview with EW.
One of the movies he mentions is science fiction horror comedy, Tremors, from 1990. The film was a box office bomb, but in the years following its release, it proved to be a cult that fans loved to watch! I saw it as a kid and thought it was a lot of fun. Bacon wasn’t so sure about accepting the role at first, but he was at a point in his life where he really needed the job, and now he looks back fondly. EW reports:
“I did it reluctantly,” he admits. “I was broke, I had a baby on the way and my mom got sick, and I felt like I didn’t have a choice – I was like, ‘Jesus, this is an underground monster movie, how far I’ fell. ‘ “However, once production begins, Bacon describes it as a ‘magical time’, working with Fred Ward and welcoming his first child. Also, puppets! “The super cool thing Tremors and this Tremors they are all practical effects, “he says.” They were all kids with puppets or people with things in their hands and cables pulled. It was brilliant. Acting with a puppet takes some acting, but we are professional suitors “.
It’s nice to hear what a fun moment that movie ended up being. I think that’s why the fans really enjoyed it. The actors could see what they were tormented by and made us believe too. I haven’t seen that movie in decades. I think I have to go check it again!
