Vertical Entertainment has released a trailer for a new family comedy titled Sam and Katewhich sees the Oscar winners as protagonists Dustin Hoffman And Sissy Spacek. It sounds like a fascinating film that is described as a “family dramedy that affirms life”.
The film is directed by Darren Le Gallowho is making his directorial debut, and the film is also starring Jake Hoffman (the real son of Dustin Hoffman) e Schuyler fish (Sissy Spacek’s real daughter).
Sam and Kate takes place in a small town in the heart of the country. “Hoffman plays Bill, Sam’s (Hoffman) extraordinary father, who came home to care for his ailing father. While at home, Sam falls in love with a local woman, Kate (Fisk). And at the same time, Bill begins to fall in love with his mother, Tina (Spacek). But finding love is complicated and for these four it is no different. Everyone has to deal with their past to make their new love work for the future. “
Oscar-winning protagonists Dustin Hoffman And Sissy Spacek – truly a family affair, art mimics life with Dustin & Son’s father / son casting Jake Hoffman and Sissy’s mother / daughter casting & Schuyler Fisk. When Sam (the young Hoffman) returns to his small town to take care of his ailing father, he soon finds himself falling in love with a local woman, Kate. At the same time, his father begins to find love with Kate’s mother. But both couples must confront their past to make their new love work for the future. The cast also includes Henry Thomas, Tyler Labine, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow, Dylan McNamara and Elizabeth Becka. It looks sweet and funny, but also a movie you will forget as soon as it is finished.
Sam and Kate will be released in selected theaters starting November 11, 2022.
