Daredevil: Born again it’s easily one of the most anticipated projects coming out of Marvel Studios, but we don’t know much about it yet. All we know is that Charlie Cox will come back as Daredevil, Vincenzo D’Onofrio will return as Kingpin and will consist of 18 episodes.
We have no details on the story or information on which characters will be involved in the series. Will we see any of the Netflix shows appear !? Well, during a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cox specifically praised Jessica Henwick, who played Colleen Wing and said she had put in a good word for her.
“She’s great. I could even say that about a number of people I’ve worked with not only on Daredevil, but also on the other shows we’ve done there. So I don’t know what they’re thinking, but I’ll put in an absolutely good word. [for Henwick]. And the other day I got a nice message from her saying she was reading the news [about Born Again] and he was thrilled for me ”.
Henwick’s Wing was easily one of the best characters to come out of Netflix’s Marvel and it would be great to see her return. She would also be nice to see Deborah Ann Woll like Karen Page, Edward Henson like Froggy Nelson and more.
Cox was also very complimenting She-Hulk star Tatiana Maslanyand is open to her reprise of the role in a guest appearance in Born again.
“I had so much fun working with [Tatiana]. I happen to think that he is one of the great actors of our generation. So, in and of itself, as well as being a lovely person, working with her was a real thrill and a joy. So I’d absolutely love that, but who knows? We will have to see. We have 18 episodes for that to happen, so maybe. “
It only makes sense for She-Hulk to show up in the show, especially if the two of them are now a couple. Cox went on to say he’s not sure if his previous Reckless the series remains in the MCU continuity. But he expects changes:
“I haven’t really gotten to that point with the writers of our next Daredevil show. So I haven’t read any scripts yet, and we haven’t talked at length about what this current iteration will look like. Just because they’re using me as an actor to play the part, it’s clear there will be consistencies and there will also be differences. What they are and how we integrate the two will be the challenge of the new show ”.
“These things are really complicated and, of course, opinions are always divided. What people like is always varied, but we have the opportunity to at least take what has worked really well and then also add some interesting elements, ideas, concepts and themes that we weren’t able to do before. So it’s Daredevil, but up to date. “
What are you all hoping to see from Daredevil: Born again? I wonder if Echo will have a role to play in it. We will find out soon enough. The series will premiere in early 2024 on Disney +.
