On November 25, Walt Disney Animation Studios returns to the big screen with its 61st film.. ‘Strange World’ follows the life of a family of explorers who will embark on a journey to an unexplored and dangerous land, where they will encounter some strange and most peculiar beings. Now that the premiere is approaching, The House of Mouse has released a new trailer for the film.
The film is directed by Don Hall (“Big Hero 6”), who will again team up with screenwriter Qui Nguyen, as they did in “Raya and the Last Dragon”. In turn, the film will star Jake Gyllenhaal (‘Donnie Darko’), Lucy Liu (‘Kill Bill’), Dennis Quaid (‘Far From Heaven’), Gabrielle Union (‘Two Rebel Cops II’) and Alan Tudyk (‘Rogue One: A Star Wars Story’), among others, who will be in charge of giving voice to the main characters.
During the presentation of “Strange World”, Disney assured that it is an inspired adventure in those of Jules Verne or HG Wells.

There will be a gay character
After the great hype caused by the LGBTQ + character of ‘Lightyear’, the famous company has decided to carry on its initial idea despite the criticism. It will continue to try to bring new stories that reflect each of the people on the other side of the screen, making the viewer feel identified. Therefore, it was confirmed that Ethan Clade, the son of the protagonist, will be the first gay character in an animated film by Walt Disney Animation Studios.
