‘Ironheart’: will Sacha Baron Cohen be the Mephisto of the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Since the beginning of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with ‘Scarlet Witch and Vision’ we have hypothesized the appearance of one of the most important villains of the publisher as Mephisto. How far away it seems when every weird thing that happened in the Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany series had the devil behind it. A recent rumor, which is gaining a lot of weight, would indicate that, this time around, Mephisto is about to make an official appearance in the franchise, particularly in the “Ironheart” series..

An insider released earlier this week Marvel would enter into talks with Sacha Baron Cohen to play Mephisto in the series led by Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams. Deadline has confirmed that there is a lot of talk about the “Borat” actor on the set of the series and that he has been spotted at Pinewood Studios in the UK, where filming is taking place. Obviously neither the House of Ideas nor the representatives of Sacha Baron Cohen wanted to say anything about it.

Although the sources of the filming that Deadline has contacted do not specifically specify Mephisto, insiders are convinced that it will be him, and certainly not a little impresses the actor in question. Mephisto emerged in comics in 1968 and was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema. Based on Mephistopheles, from ‘Faust’, he is a demon capable of mastering magic, thanks to which he can change shape, manipulate the mind and endow himself with superhuman strength and endurance. Known for his tricks, he always tries to trick his victims into making “deals with the devil” with which he can control them.. The character has already appeared in the two episodes of “Ghost Rider” played by Peter Fonda in the first and Ciarán Hinds in the second.

The series will present the story of the brilliant Riri Williams, a young woman who manages to create her own armor like Iron Man.
