“Terifier 2” is driving viewers out of the theater vomiting and passing out in a wheelchair

Given the wave of horror films in this new Halloween season, no one expected the gory sequel to Damien Leone to become a box office hit. Terrifier 2 premiered on October 6 in US theaters, while the original film did the same in 2016. This new installment of the killer clowns managed to raise just over a million euros during its best weekend at the box office in the American country, up 28% from the previous weekend when it opened at $ 805,000. “I just saw ‘Terifier 2’. It was an incredible bloody mess. The guy behind me passed out and crashed into my chair, another guy left because he wasn’t feeling well, I heard him say, and as I walked out the theater door I heard another guy throwing up loudly in bath”says another viewer through his Twitter account.

Due to all the hype around the movie, the director of ‘Terrifier 2’ was forced to comment on these events: “I would have liked a couple of people to leave the theater, I think it’s kind of a badge of honor because it’s such an intense film. But I don’t want people to pass out or get hurt during the movie. it’s surreal”.

“I recommend watching the first movie before seeing this one.. If you watch “Terrifier 1″, you know what you are getting yourself into. In the first film there is a crime scene, a saw scene, which is already famous and that everyone comes out to talk about. We tried to rival that scene in the new movie, because the fan base that has been supporting us all this time, that has started putting the killer clown cult on a pedestal, are the things they really want. I think this film is more accessible, but essentially we’re still making films for them, and if other people want to get on board, the more the better.”Leone assures this in an interview for EW.

Can it be seen in Spain?

In our country, ‘Terifier 1’ is available on Amazon Prime Video. However, the second installment is not yet visible, although Leone has confirmed that he is negotiating to bring the film to theaters in other countries and, ultimately, to different streaming platforms. Due to this popularity that the film is enjoying, surely some of the most successful streaming platforms in our country are interested in adding it to their catalog.
