The popular comic series Invincible turns 20 and Skybound will spend 2023 celebrating the occasion. The first celebration launch will take place in January 2023, when Invincible # 1 will be relaunched with a new facsimile edition to give fans another chance to get this first issue. Reflecting on the occasion, co-creator Robert Kirkman shared:
Wow, twenty years! I can not believe. Invincible is something that Cory, Ryan and I have devoted a large part of our lives to. Now that he’s being discovered by an infinitely wider audience, it’s really cool to see him live in so many different forms. It is so rewarding to know that people will fall in love with Invincible for years to come.
Co-creator Cory Walker added:
I’m not usually one to get excited about, but 2023 is going to be the biggest year for Invincible, with so many crazy and unexpected things coming up! I’d say Invincible fans should get ready, but there’s really nothing you can do to get ready for everything that’s coming.
Furthermore, the only one Invincible Undeluxe # 1 will launch allowing you to “follow Mark Grayson’s journey again, from the start, but this time in STUNNING BLACK & WHITE!” Invincible Undeluxe # 1 will have a wide range of variant covers and an episode of “The Cutting Room Floor” with original handwritten storyline and commentary by Kirkman. Still on the same day, fans will be able to collect Invincible Compendium Vol. 1 HC which will be a brand new hard cover that collects the numbers 0-47. This will be exclusive to comic shops.

Later in 2023, fans can expect articles like Invincible Vol.1 (New Edition) which collects the series in a 6 ”x9” graphic novel format with new covers by Walker and Dave McCaig. There will be also Compendium of the Invincible Universe that collects Atomic Eva # 1-2, Invincible Gifts: Atom Eve and Rex Splode # 1-3, Guarding the globe (Vol 1) # 1-6, Guarding the globe (Vol. 2) # 1-6, and Invincible Universe # 1-12 in a new format. Skybound will soon be announcing additional launches including clothing, collectibles, board games, video games and more.
