Love of America Brendan Fraser (Encino man, School ties, The Mummy franchise) is back on top from his Oscar-winning performance in the film The whaleand looks to the future, planning new roles he would like to take on, as well as those he would like to revisit.
In a recent interview with Variety, Fraser was asked if he would like to play Rick O’Connell The Mummy franchise again. He replied: “I don’t know how it would work. But I’d be open if someone showed up with the right presumption. “
The Mummy director Stefano Sommers he said in the interview that he chose the actor because he possessed a very specific set of skills. “He could throw a punch and take a punch and he had a great sense of humor,” he says. “You really like the boy. He never comes across as presumptuous or arrogant. “
Fraser went on to talk about the 2017 remake of the film, which he starred in Tom Cruise and it didn’t do very well at the box office:
“It’s hard to make that movie. The ingredient we had for our mom, which I didn’t see in that movie, was fun. This was what was missing in that incarnation. It was too direct a horror movie. “The Mummy” is supposed to be a thrilling ride, but not terrifying and scary. I know how hard it is to make it. I tried to do it three times ”.
I think fans would love to see Fraser in the role again. I recently reported on the difficulties encountered by Fraser The Mummy movies, as they were very physically demanding, but hopefully if they make another one, they’ll be able to cater to what it can do and use stunts if needed.
