Ramón and Céline are a young couple who attend a concert at Bataclan on November 13, 2015. That night, the room will be attacked as part of the coordinated attacks in Paris that killed 131 people, 89 of them in the same room. Although both manage, each on their own, to enter the dressing room of the musicians and take refuge from the terrorists, when they leave there they are no longer the same and do not know if they will ever be the same again. The experiences of that night leave a deep mark on them and give them a new identity, that of the victims. Céline rejects her in a forward flight as Ramón goes back to that moment over and over again to face a big question: How do you want to live in the future? In “One Year, One Night”, Isaki Lacuesta brings to the cinema the biographical novel “Peace, Love and Death Metal” by Ramón González, a survivor of the attack.
Lacuesta also signs the screenplay for “One year, one night” with Isa Campo and Fran Araújo and the cast of the film is completed by Noémie Merlant, Quim Gutiérrez, C. Tangana, Blanca Apilánez, Bruno Todeschini, Sophie Broustal and Enric Auquer.
‘Un anno, una notte’ is released in theaters on 21 October, but shortly before, on Monday 17, the preview will take place in Madrid in the presence of the director and some of his stars: Nahuel Pérez Biscayart, Alba Guilera and Natalia di Molina.
