Streaming platforms have released their best scary titles ahead of the Halloween celebration. And every year, or even every month, there are new offerings in the genre, which are overshadowed by the big releases. Goodnight Mom

Although the remake of this one almost unknown horror movie Made in Austria, Naomi Watts had, it didn’t get the welcome it deserves. “Goodnight Mommy,” in its original version or that of Amazon Prime Video, is about twin brothers who receive their mothers after undergoing plastic surgery. Gretel and Hansel

Directed by Osgood Perkins and starring Sophia Lillis and Alice Krige, the story follows brothers who are desperate for food in a forest when they stumble upon a terrifying cabin.

It is an original production, which follows a father who has a serious accident with his wife, which causes him to lose his memory. Desperate, he undergoes experimental treatment to help him regain his life, but meanwhile his past makes him question who he is.

The Manor

As part of Blumhouse’s anthology collection, “The Manor” is a horror film that tells the story of Judith Albright, played by Barbara Hershey. The girl suffers a stroke, which forces her to move to a retirement home, where she suspects that something strange is happening to the residents. And to escape, she has to convince everyone that she doesn’t belong there. Available on Amazon Prime Video.

Scary stories to tell in the dark

Probably the best known on the list, since Guillermo del Toro was involved in the creation of “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark”, a horror film based on Alvin Schwartz’s children’s books. Some guys are cursed by a book in which several horror stories are told about how they try to kill them.

The exorcism of my best friend

As a parody of many such stories about demonic possessions, Damon Thomas premiered this year’s 2022 “The Exorcism of My Best Friend,” a horror and comedy film about Abby and Gretchen, two friends helping each other to expel a demon from another world who has come to possess the body of one of them.
