“The Watcher”, the new series from Ryan Muprhy, creator of “American Horror Story” and the recent success of “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”, will premiere on Netflix on October 13th. It is a psychological thriller based on a mysterious real case, which presented its first trailer, which reveals what the dramatization of the case of the family being harassed by a stranger will be like.
Just a few weeks after the premiere, with almost no marketing campaign, “Dahmer” starring Evan Peters, Ryan Murphy will premiere on October 13th ‘The observer’, played by Naomi Watts and Bobby Cannabale, who start the Braddock family, a couple excited to open the new home they bought, but when they arrive they are baffled by strange letters.
Margo Martindale, Richard Kind, Mia Farrow and Terry Kinney complete the rest of the cast, which will see the special participation of Jennifer Coolidge, the real estate agent who appears in the trailer for ‘The observer’. Netflix’s psychological thriller is a dramatization of the case of the Broaddus family, the father, mother and their three children, who had recently bought a new home, and while they were finishing the finishing touches, they discovered a terrifying welcome in their mailbox.

The true story of ‘The observerhappened in New Jersey, in the year 2014. The father of the Broaddus family found in his mailbox a strange letter with no return address, in which a stranger welcomed them: “657 Boulevard has been a target of my family and, now as she approaches her 110th birthday, I have been instructed to keep an eye on her and wait for her second coming. My grandfather looked at the house in the 1920s and my father looked at it in the 1960s. Now it’s my turn”.
The letters they sent to the Broaddus
Derek and Maria Broaddus began to notice that the letters were becoming more and more constant in their mailbox, until they realized that the anonymous sender was calling himself ‘The Watcher’, a stranger interested in what the company was doing the family. there, and how they got the house.
During 3 letters, “El Vigilante” was closer to the family, persecuting them, until the owners of the house decided to contact the authorities to help them with the case. To their surprise, they never found suspects and even today they have no idea who Broaddus’ stalker might be.
“The Watcher” recreates these events, but adds some characters, such as tenants breaking into the house, as well as neighbors and others interested in the ordeal the family was going through. Netflix’s new psychological thriller will debut on October 13 and will surely rank among the most popular on the platform soon.
