Actor Kevin Durand (Origins of the X-Men: Wolverine, Locke and key) joined the cast of the upcoming sequel Kingdom of the Planet of the Apesby the director Wes Ball (The maze runner). Durand joins the previously chosen actors Owen Teague, Freya AllanAnd Pietro Macon. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes starts a new chapter in monkeys saga, resuming many years after the conclusion of 2017 War for the Planet of the Apes. The screenplay is by Josh Friedman, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver and Patrick Aison.
Although unconfirmed, sources claim Durand would play a monkey and the character is likely to be the villain in the new film.
