HBO has released the first trailer for the third season of Its dark materials and it looks like it’s going to be an exciting and thrilling last season!
We see James McAvoy returns as Lord Asriel, who returns after being virtually absent in the second season. He is building an army that includes witches and rebel angels to defeat the Authority. This season promises to be something epic.
Asriel says, “I am gathering the greatest from every world to help me make war. They are just an arm of the beast. Let’s cut off the head and the rest will crumble.”
Based on “The Amber Spyglass”, the latest novel in Philip Pullman’s award-winning trilogy, “in the final chapter of this epic fantasy series, Lyra (Dafne Keen), the prophesied child and Will (Amir Wilson), the bearer of The Subtle Knife, must travel to a dark place from which no one has ever returned. As his father’s great war against Authority draws near, they will learn that saving worlds comes at a terrible price.
Other cast members include Simone Kirby like Mary Malone, It will be passionate as Father President McPhail, Jade Anuka like Ruta Skadi, Ruta Gedminstas like Serafina Pekkala, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as commander Ogunwe, Jamie Ward like Father Gomez, Amber Fitzgerald-Woolfe like Ama, e Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Simone Harrison And Chipo Chung like the rebel angels Balthamos, Baruch and Xaphania.
Jack Thornethe series lead writer has also created a new Angel character, called Alarbus, who will primarily interact with Asriel and “help contextualize what’s happening in the kingdom of heaven.”
Its dark materials The third season will premiere with two consecutive episodes on HBO on December 5, 2022.
