Whenever Marvel releases a new movie or series, for years now, “the formula is sold out” is heard everywhere. And that in its latest attempts La Casa de las Ideas has tried to establish itself in all genres and stories (spies, martial arts, horror, situation comedies …). As it seems that was not enough, now the company launches with the all new “Marvel Studios Presents: The Curse of the Werewolf”a 1-hour special on Disney + that is 100% based on the classic monster genre that dominated fantasy movies in the 1930s and 1940s.

Featuring Gael García Bernal as the werewolf and Laura Donnelly as Elsa Bloodstone, this premiere is the MCU’s particular Halloween celebration. “Disney + Phase 4 projects are unique ideas, everyone is trying something new”, defends Donnelly in an exclusive interview for eCartelera, “I think it’s crucial, when it comes to creativity, to take those risks. And Marvel has excelled at that.”.

However, the actress, who has recognized herself as a huge fan of the saga for many years, also assumes that her special is something never seen before. “It’s definitely the most different project I’ve ever seen”, he points out. Indeed, for Donnelly this entry in the film was essential to addressing him. “It was something fundamental right from the start. From the very beginning it seemed like something I wanted to be a part of.”exhibits proud of the final result.

Elsa Bloodstone is a comic book superhero who is dedicated to hunting monsters. Daughter of the deceased and also monster hunter Ulysses Bloodstone, her character can make her much more than the protagonist of an unrepeatable special. “I’m really looking forward to it”Donnelly promises when questioned about her character’s new appearances in the MCU. “There is so much to explore with Elsa, she has a fascinating context”says the interpreter, who has carefully read the comics to capture their essence and create something of his own from there. “What I like most about her is that she is above all human”adds to the reflection.
