

Enjoy in its original language: Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 hits theaters in Latin America – Broadcast (Khara)
After being a hit with anime fans for nearly three decades, “Neon Genesis Evangelion” comes to an end, with the latest film in the reboot series starting in 2007, “Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Three times”premiered nearly a year ago on Amazon Prime Video, now will be released in Latin American cinemas.
The anime Neon Genesis Evangelion has garnered a huge number of fans over the years, being a series that broke the paradigms in the field of anime in the nineties, for touching complex psychological and philosophical issues, now Latin American fans can enjoy the last film of the saga in theaters.
Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 is the highest-grossing film in the franchise
The acclaimed anime series “Neon Genesis Evangelion”, which debuted in the 1990s and which would give way to a series of reboots that began in 2007, concludes with “Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time”. And now, to the delight of all its Latin American fans, it will arrive in theaters of several countries of the southern cone.
All this thanks to the participation of Konnichiwa!a company dedicated to the distribution of Japanese animated films in Mexico and Latin America, which already in 2021 brought us “Demons Slayer: Mugen Train”, a film of the popular anime Demon Slayer and which also has a large number of fans in the continent .
It was already known since July that the film will be released in Latin America on 29 September 2022. Now in Mexico it can only be enjoyed in different Cinepolis theaters of the republicboth in traditional format and in IMAX and 4DX (from 6 October) on display only in the original language with subtitles.
Evangelion’s author, Hideaki Anno, was the director, writer and executive producer of “Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Thrice Upon a Time”. The film was released on March 8, 2021 in theaters in Japan. Amazon, for its part, has acquired the rights to release it exclusively in 240 countries and territories globally.
This Studio Khara production ended with gross receipts of ¥ 10,280 million yen, becoming in the highest-grossing film of the franchise and from the filmography of Hideaki Anno. At the same time, it received the Animation of the Year award at the 45th Japan Film Academy Awards.

The original series and films from the 90s are visible on Netflix, and on Amazon Prime we find the four reboot tapes of the story: ‘Evangelion: 1.11 You Are (not) Alone’, ‘Evangelion: 2.22 You Can (not)) Advance’ , ‘Evangelion: 3.33 You Can (not) Redo’ and ‘Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 Three Upon a Time’.
