James Gunn and Jennifer Holland got married surrounded by the actors of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “The Peacemaker”

James Gunn and Jennifer Holland are already husband and wife. The director of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ and the actress of ‘The Peacemaker’ said “yes, I do” in a beautiful wedding celebrated in the countryside where nothing was missing. Even a moose stopped to congratulate them. They even had custom Funkos as figures on top of the wedding cake.

“After 7 years together, I have finally married the love of my life. What an amazing, beautiful and spectacular day, surrounded by the most wonderful family and friends in the world. And yes, that moose appeared when the ceremony began! yes, Funko made our cake toppers designed with the tuxedo and the dress we were going to wear (Jenn didn’t show them to me before the wedding because the dress was nailed). And yes, we had fun celebrations on Sunday, including a Marvel vs DC softball game (Michael Rooker played on both teams)” Gunn explained on his Instagram, in which he shared many photos from the big day. Holland, for his part, dedicated these beautiful words to him: “James! Thank you for sharing your love, your life and your family with me. Thank you for choosing me, for relieving me and for always making me laugh. There are still many years left after these extraordinary first seven!”.

VIP guest list

As the director progressed, the guest list included many familiar faces. From the cast of “Guardians of the Galaxy” were Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldaña, Michael Rooker, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and of course Sean Gunn, brother of the director, who officiated the ceremony. From “The Suicide Squad” were John Cena, Joel Kinnaman, Daniela Melchior, David Dastmalchian and Nathan Fillion (and again Michael Rooker). And from “The Peacemaker” have passed Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, Johana Braddy, Robert Patrick and Nhut Le (and again John Cena, of course).

We wish the best to the happy couple, who will work together again in the second season of ‘The Peacemaker’, in which Jennifer Holland will return to play Emilia Harcourt. James Gunn, for his part, will premiere at the cinema “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” on May 5, 2023..
