‘Night of Fire’ is based on the novel Prayers for the stolenknown in Spanish as Ladydi, by the journalist Jennifer Clemente which closely tells the story of three girls who grow up in the midst of violence in the Sierra de Guerrero, Mexico. A place where violence has become natural and inclement, and where drug trafficking monopolizes the spaces occupied by peasants, as well as by the women of the country.
Violence begins to permeate every part of the Sierra de Guerrero, and this is how the trio of girls grows, trying to take care of the narcos men who come down to find women who possess them for their “service”.

With this film, Huezo has raised its voice for girls and women, for those exposed to a reality little touched by security and much by drug traffickers, which is increasingly part of their daily life, from birth to death. die or disappear.
