Review: HOCUS POCUS 2 is a fun Halloween movie that will appeal to fans and families alike

Hocus Pocus fans were extremely excited when Disney announced it would be developing a sequel for Disney + with Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica ParkerAnd Kathy Najimy returning to resume their roles. Hocus Hocus 2 has arrived just in time for the Halloween season for fans to watch and if you enjoyed the first movie, chances are you’ll enjoy watching this one.

The original Hocus Pocus it’s a big deal with my family. My girls have seen the original movie a lot of times over the years, so I know it very well. They watched it so much that, yeah … I got really tired of it. I was relieved that we were going to get a sequel, so at least I’d have something new to watch with these characters.

I just hoped the sequel was as fun and entertaining as the first movie. That’s all I wanted, and that’s exactly what I got. Hocus Pocus 2 it was almost on par with the original film and is the quality I expected. The film met my expectations and I have no doubt that fans of the original film will have a lot of fun watching it! It’s a lighthearted horror movie that the whole family can enjoy.

Will the sequel be as classic as the original? I do not know! But I can see fans watching them one after another every year during the Halloween season. I know that’s what my wife and my girls will probably want to do. Is the sequel as good as the original? No, but it was still fun.

The sequel is directed by Anne Fletcher (27 Dresses, The proposal), and the story follows the three infamous witches as they seek revenge in today’s Salem. The young hungry sisters are again planning to suck the lives of the children before dawn, and it’s up to three teenagers, Becca (Whitney Peak), Cassie (Lilia Buckingham), and Izzy (Belissa Escobedo) to stop the Sandersons.

The original cast did a great job re-entering the Sanderson characters they played all those years ago. As for the new young cast that joined them, they were fine! They are three young teenage actors starring in a Disney + movie, so you know what to expect.

The film also starred Doug Jones like Billy Butcherson, Whitney Peak (The terrifying adventures of Sabrina), Lilia Buckingham (Corona Lake), Belissa Escobedo (American horror stories), Froy Guiterrez (Cruel summer), Sam Richardson (The Afterparty), Hanna Wadingham (Ted Lasso), And Tony Hale (Development stopped, Toy Story 4).

I hope you all enjoy watching Hocus Pocus 2 with your friends and families this Halloween season!
