Coolio, the popular Grammy-winning rapper, has died at the age of 59, his manager, Jael Posey, confirmed to Variety. The artist passed away on Wednesday 28 September around 5pm. As Posey explained to TMZ, Coolio was at a friend’s house when he went to the bathroom and, after a while without answering, his friend walked in and found him unconscious on the floor.
When help arrived, the rapper was already dead. LAPD has launched an investigation, but according to police reports to TMZ, there does not appear to be any signs of violence, nor were drugs found at the scene. The autopsy and toxicology test will determine the official cause of death, but according to the same media, everything points to cardiac arrest.
