Kevin Costner and Morgan Freeman team up to produce civil war spy drama THE GRAY HOUSE

Kevin Costner and his production company Territory Pictures are teaming up Morgan Freeman, Lori McCreary and their Revelations Entertainment to produce a Civil War spy drama series titled The Gray House.

The six-hour limited series “will tell the story of the three women General Ulysses S. Grant recognized as helping the North to win the civil war.” These three unknown women “turned the tide of the American civil war in favor of the North. A socialite from Richmond and her daughter, an African American previously enslaved, and a courtesan build the first successful female spy ring, operating right under the nose of the Confederate High Command. They risk their lives and their freedom to help win the war and preserve American democracy ”.

Hell yes! It looks like it’s going to be a great Civil War historical series! I’m a huge history buff and it’s great that the incredible story of these three women is being told.

The Gray House is based on an original screenplay by Greif And Darrell Fetty (The offer, Texas Rising) and nominated for an Oscar John Sayles (Lonestar, 8 men out). Nominated for an Oscar Roland Joffe (The Killing Fields, The Mission, Texas Rising) will direct the series that will shoot in the spring.
