So far, for me, She-Hulk: lawyer it was a big disappointment. I’m a fan of this character, the comic series is great, but unfortunately this show has done this amazing character a disservice. It’s a shame. You may disagree with me, but that’s okay.

It turns out that one of the main inspirations for the show is Taika Waititi’S Thor: Ragnarok. It’s not hard to see, as the series comes very close to comedy and there are silly jokes around every corner as you watch it. She-Hulk director Anu Valia recently shared the following in an interview with Friends From Work:

“It’s funny because, as a fan, you want to do fan service, but you also want to create something new and not come from a place of fear … Just from a place of history … in a truthful and funny way. as I was really … the comic tone, balancing that and the emotional crux of the show, Jessica and Kat laid such a foundation that I just built it. “

Valia added that she and the rest of the creative team watched Thor: Ragnarok during the development of the series:

“But I know personally, I was watching, I feel everyone feels this way, I was watching what Taika Waititi did with [Thor: Ragnarok]. For example, she balanced it so well. I think maybe, outside of the Marvel movies, it was the most at the forefront of my mind. Even the technical thing of how to improvise with a CGI character, that kind of thing. So personally, that movie was a lot on my mind. But I can’t say I created the tone or anything, but it was kind of like rebuilding. “

I’m not sure if that was the best direction for the show. But there are people who seem to be enjoying themselves. I just think She-Hulk is such a strong character and deserves so much better than what this series is giving us. My two teenage girls don’t even like it.

The nine-episode series stars Tatiana Maslany like Jennifer Walters, Ginger Gonzaga like Nikki, e Jameela Jamil like Titania, as well as Marco Ruffalò like Hulk, Tim Roth as Abomination, and Benedict Wong like Wong, with Josh Segarra, Jon Bass, And Renée Elise Goldsberry.

Rick and Morty‘S Jessica Gao created the show and Kat Coirò share the directing duties of the series with Anu Valia. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Brad Winderbaum, Kat Coiro And Jessica Gao.
