“Enola Holmes 2” releases its first trailer with Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill as a couple of detectives

Enola, after having successfully solved that first case, he founds his agency in “Enola Holmes 2”, a Netflix film directed once again by Millie Bobby Brown. This actress reprises the aforementioned character in a sequel in which the young detective decides to follow in the footsteps of her famous brother Sherlock, undertaking a professional investigation across London. Henry Cavill is also back in a film that will feature both hounds allying himself against an intrigue that runs through every corner of the city, including the famous 221B Baker Street.

Harry Bradbeer and Jack Thorne, director and screenwriter, sign the adaptation of another Nancy Springer novel; a film in which we will also see Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury and Helena Bonham Carter as the clan matriarch. Susan Wokoma, Adeel Akhtar and Sharon Duncan-Brewster complete the cast of this film which has just released a first trailer for Netflix, the streaming platform that this Saturday 24 September celebrates TUDUM, an event designed to launch its novelties. Among these we have a preview of the enigmatic case that Enola must face in this new adventure, a deadly conspiracy that will force the detective to turn to her friends and to Sherlock himself to unravel the mystery.

“The relationship between Enola and Sherlock evolved by putting them on an equal footing in this sequel”Cavill himself recently stated. “Although Sherlock has the experience and mind second to none, he does not have the same emotional resources as Enola, nor the same heart. While in the first film Enola could have learned from Sherlock, in this things could change”.

In addition to the trailer, Netflix has released a new teaser poster of the sequel, which already has a release date: the November 4th.

From the hand of its official synopsis, Netflix itself anticipates that in ‘Enola Holmes 2’ the character of Brown will have to face “the harsh adult reality”something Bradbeer has already warned in statements to Entertainment Weekly. “I wanted Enola to meet working class girls in a working class world. I wanted her to take her first steps into a completely new corner of society for her and that he was even more out of his element”. To that end, the director acknowledges that he relied heavily on the star of him, a Brown who is a huge fan of the original work that “understands an adult story, but he also has the instinct of a younger person; things that are vital.
