We have some really funny news for fans of the 1984 film The Beverly Hills cop. Some of the original cast members are returning for the next Netflix sequel, The Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foleyand include judge Reinhold as Detective Billy Rosewood; John Ashton like Sergeant John Taggart; Paul Reiser who played Axel Foley’s fellow Detroit police officer Jeffrey Friedman in the first two films; And Bronson Pinchot, who played the cheeky art gallery salesman. They join the returning star Eddie Murphyas well as newcomers to the franchise Joseph Gordon-Levitt And Taylor Paige.
Marco Molloy is directing from a screenplay written by Will Beall. Jerry Bruckheimer and Chad Oman are producing for Jerry Bruckheimer Films alongside Murphy.
The sequel’s plot is still under wraps, but filming is currently underway in California. We hope to find out more soon. The Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley will be released on Netflix in 2023.
