First images of the Ghibli Park

Just two months after the opening of the Ghibli ParkOpening November 1 in Japan’s Aichi prefecture, the animation studio’s theme park official website released the first images of the interior, and the result takes us directly to the films of Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata.

In the video we can see scenes and characters from Ghibli films such as the dazzling ‘Spirited Away’ (2001), where we imagine we can live with Sin Cara or Yubaba, or even the robots of ‘The castle in the sky’, the first film of the studio released in 1986. We will also find cuter creatures like the catbus from “My Neighbor Totoro” (1988), or the same totoro with which you can live in the children’s area.

Inside the venue, not only will we feel transported to a Studio Ghibli film, but we will also be able to enjoy firsthand some of the studio’s shorts that will be available in the local cinema.

Just like in the Ghibli Museumthe park will have a selection of short films, among which stand out: ‘Mei e il gattobus’, and’ The day I bought a star ‘, the first linked to’ My neighbor Totoro ‘, and the second from’ Il senzatetto del castle’.

On the other hand, Ghibli Park not only wants to function as an amusement park similar to Universal Studios or Disneyland, as it will not only focus on the legacy of Ghibli, but also wants to become a tribute to nature built in the Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park in Nagakute, Japan.
