‘Interview with the Vampire’: new trailer for Anne Rice’s Universe series

AMC + is preparing to launch its audiovisual universe based on Anne Rice’s best-selling novels with a new version of “Interview with the Vampire” as the backbone. The streaming platform of AMC Networks, already available on Vodafone, Orange, Jazztel, Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video, launches a new trailer of the series in which Jacob Anderson becomes Louis de Pointe du Lac and Sam Reid plays Lestat de Lioncourt. Their bodies will be cold, but the show is hot.

In the preview we still see Louis telling the story of his life to a journalist (Eric Bogosian). That story culminated many years ago, too many for any human being. Louis was living in early 20th century New Orleans when he met Lestat, a mysterious man who changed his life forever by turning him into a vampire. “He was my killer, my mentor, my lover and my creator” says Louis, who accompanies us through his memories of debauchery and seduction, but also of anger, resentment and revenge. The main cast is completed by Bailey Bass in the role of Claudia, the young woman who will complicate the life of Lestat and Louis.

“Interview with the Vampire” will see Rolin Jones as the creator of this new adaptation of the novel “Vampire Chronicles” by Anne Rice, which aims to be more “a gothic romance” than a horror series, as Rolin himself explains. : “I wanted to write a very exciting, aggressive, toxic and beautiful love story”. In the US it opens on October 2 and in Spain it will soon too, but it has no release date.

It’s only the beginning

After “Interview with the Vampire”, AMC + will continue to expand this new phase of the famous writer’s work with another gothic short story: “The Witches of Mayfair”. This series will be linked to “Interview with the Vampire” and stars Alexandra Daddario, Jack Huston, Tongayi Chiripa, Harry Hamlin, Beth Grant, Hannah Alline, Jen Richards, Geraldine Singer and Annabeth Gish. We will see it next year.
