
Blumhouse Production is developing a new documentary series for EPIX entitled Blumhouse Compendium of Horror. He will immerse himself in the history of horror through the single lens of the studio. As you know, Blumhouse has helped redefine the horror genre in recent years and it makes sense that they want to tell the story of horror films since the turn of the 20th century.
This five-part series is the “definitive retrospective on the horror genre of the company considered the driving force behind the resurgence of horror. Blumhouse’s Compendium of Horror revisits the shocks and fears of our favorite iconic cinematic horror moments from the 1930s to the present, with insights from some of the best and most influential directors, producers and actors working in the genre, as well as experts and historians “.
The series is narrated by Robert Englund (A nightmare on Elm Street), and “reflects how quintessential horror films have revealed and reflected the world’s real-life fears to audiences, uniting us with shared understanding, catharsis and entertainment.”
