The first of three final specials for The house of the owl will premiere on October 15 on Disney Channel and Disney XD. The 44-minute special will follow Luz and her friends right after the events of the Season 2 finale. The title “Thanks to Them” will see Luz and her friends stuck in the human realm and desperate to return to the Boiling Isles. Unfortunately we will have to wait until 2023 for the other two installments.
For those who have never seen it, The house of the owl follows Luz, a self-confident teenager who stumbles upon a portal to a magical kingdom where she befriends a rebellious witch, Eda, and a little warrior, King. Despite her lack of magical abilities, Luz becomes Eda’s apprentice and eventually finds a new family as she grapples with the decision to go home to her mother or to stay. Seriously, this show is so cool, if you are into fantasy series, you definitely need to watch this one. I’m still gutted that it’s not getting a proper final season, but I’m so glad we’ll at least have something to wrap up the story.
