2022 Emmy Security tried to stop Zendaya’s mom when she tried to get closer to her daughter’s table

Zendaya made history on Monday morning, September 12th becoming the youngest performer to win Emmy twice as Best Actress. The 26-year-old star won a repeat statuette for the role of Rue in the popular “Euphoria” series. However, as reported by Insider, Claire Stoermer, mother of the actress, was arrested by members of the award security while trying to approach her daughter’s table a few moments before the assignment.

Through an Instagram story, Stoermer confessed the following: “I approached Z before he got the Emmy and gave him the biggest hug and said … Breathe !!! The man who tried to stop me said “where is your ID card?” I told her “I’m Zendaya’s mom” and kept walking !! LOL! I’ve never pointed to anyone like that, but I had to!”.

However, it is understandable that in an event like this, his safety must be aware of everything and make sure of every detail. This little misunderstanding didn’t bother the mother of the “The Greatest Showman” actress, who was delighted with the “Euphoria” team. Stoermer shared a daughter photo of her with the rest of the series crew and added: “I love this group of people. When Z is working on “Euphoria”, I don’t worry about her!”.

Zendaya, however, in an interview shortly after the gala ended, revealed who had sent the first message after the award: “I didn’t have to text my mom because she was already there. She’s here tonight, which was very special … I texted my boyfriend”.
