Woods star Tito Welliver will play Lex Luthor in the next season of DC Titans series, and we take our first look at the actor in the role. The image comes from EW And Titans showrunner Greg Walker talks about Welliver’s casting for the role of Lex, saying:
“You usually have to do all this dog and pony show to get an actor to do the show. But when I called him to lure him somehow, I could barely say a word. We were talking on the phone and he was just walking around. for his library, telling me all about his Wolfman / Perez Titans editions. He is a giant, giant fan. He had watched every episode of the show and could tell me certain stories, certain shots. It was the most unexpected call he has ever received. ”
Looks like Welliver really wanted to join the show! Sounds like a great choice for Lex, and I’m pretty excited to see his villain’s version of him! Speaking about this version of the character, Walker shared:
“He has a very sensitive and caring approach to evil and power. You know what he’s done, what he’s capable of, except like many of those people, he’s nice. He doesn’t have a cat on his lap. Yes. He’s curious, which is what he is. I find it very interesting about his character. He wants to know people and what makes them beat, and how they are different from him. He sees the world through the lens of both his own power and his own inadequacy, and tries to compensate for both. ”
It is explained that Lex Luther is a menacing villain for Superboy. This version of Superboy aka Conner (Joshua Orpin) was created from a combination of Superman’s DNA with Luthor’s. In the next season, Conner will struggle and come to terms with what it means:
“We’re really going deeper into all of these characters and shaking them up. What shakes Conner is a story of identity. He’s explored his Superman self, but he hasn’t really explored his Lex self. What does it mean when you do? What happens when you give him the car keys? He starts driving in the wrong direction at rush hour at 100mph? ”
Titans season 4 will debut on HBO Max in November.
