Legendary Comics has released a trailer to accompany their upcoming graphic novel YA Tragic. Written by Dana Melearticles Valentina Pintiand color for Clare Of France, Tragic redefines the classic characters from Fraction in a new queer narrative that weaves adorable and disturbing perspectives. Here is the official synopsis:
Tragic is a reinterpretation of Shakespeare’s Hamlet told through the eyes of a 17-year-old who has just lost her father.
After his father Hamilton Hayes dies a mysterious and tragic death, Harper Hayes is convinced that he has been murdered and his prime suspect is his uncle Clayton, who slept with his mother, Greta. With the help of her ex-girlfriend Talia and her (sometimes beneficial) best friend Holden, Harper is determined to find her father’s killer. But when Caius, Talia’s father and Hamilton’s business partner, is found dead, Harper realizes that the response to Hamilton’s murder is more complicated than she initially imagined. And when Harper begins to see her ghost everywhere in the form of a teenage Hamlet and slips into her murder hallucinations that end with bloody hands, one thing becomes clear: to find out the truth about what happened to her father. you, Harper. she must face her own demons and those who haunt the Hayes family.
It sounds like an interesting thriller that should make you question what is and isn’t real right from the start, just like Fraction. Volume 1 will be out on September 13, 2022, and you can check out the trailer below.
