Disney + has released a teaser trailer for its next documentary Mickey Mouse: The story of a mouse. The document was produced to celebrate the Walt Disney Company’s 100th anniversary.
As one of the most beloved characters in the world, “Mickey Mouse is recognized as a symbol of childish joy and innocence in virtually every corner of the globe. Dreamed of at a low point in Walt Disney’s burgeoning career, Mickey became an overnight sensation when he starred in the first animated short with synchronized sound, “Steamboat Willie”. Over the ensuing decades, the character evolved into startlingly different versions of himself that reflect both his creator’s extraordinary career and the dramatic social changes in the nation he has come to portray. Director Jeff Malmberg and Oscar-winning producer Morgan Neville (who had previously collaborated for Don’t you wanna be my neighbor?) examines the cultural significance of the nearly 100-year-old cartoon mouse. The documentary also features an exclusive animated short, “Mickey Mouse in a Minute”, created by the legendary hand-drawn team of Walt Disney Animation Studios. “
Marjon Javadi, vice president of Disney Original Documentary, said: “Ninety-nine years ago Walt Disney created a mouse that would become one of the most beloved characters in the world.
