With great anticipation, D23 Expo 2022 was held, where Marvel held a presentation panel to reveal some of the surprises they had in store for the future of the UCM. Among the first glimpses and more details, there was new information on “Loki 2”, the cast of “Thunderbolts”, among many other things.

In the first segment of Marvel’s presentation at D23, the cast of ‘Black Panther was presented: Wakanda Forever, Tenoch Huerta, Letitia Wright, Dominique Throne, among others. An exclusive trailer for the event has been released, and most importantly, they have confirmed that Shuri will play a major role in the story.

Later came the other exclusive first look at the wonder of d23, it was “Ironheart”, where Kevin Feige introduced Riri Williams. Also, Anthony Ramos, who will play Parker, says his character is a questionable person who thinks he’s doing good. More details on this title will arrive next year 2023.

The next presentation was that of “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania”, which was confirmed to have a direct connection with “Avengers: The Kang Dynasty”, the fifth Avengers movie. Paul Rudd appeared with the entire cast of the film, which he said will be a story that will blow fans out.

More details on ‘Ant-Man 3’ and D23

Marvel took the opportunity to present another preview of ‘Ant-Man 3’ different from the one seen in the last Comic-Con, and in which Kang is seen asking Scott Lang a favor, as he is the only one which can help him retrieve an object. Finally, Bill Murray’s character can be seen in the trailer.

Then came the first preview of the event, in which Marvel presented the trailer for ‘Werewolf by Night’, the special for Disney + in which Gael García participates, and which will be a horror story in black and white, inspired by the great films horror film that debuted in the 1930s and 1940s.

They immediately showed a new trailer for “Secret Invasion”, also very different from the one revealed at Comic-Con. In the trailer, presented by Don Cheadle and Kevin Feige, it is confirmed that it has been 15 years since the Pentagon was invaded and Rhodey is now on the side of the Skrulls.

The cast of the second season of ‘Loki’ made an appearance, with Tom Hiddleston, which confirmed that the new story begins right where the first part ended. Additionally, it has been confirmed that actor Jonathan Ke Quan, who recently returned with “Everything Everywhere at the Same Time”, will join the cast of the series.

Given the uncertainty, Kevin Feige announced that there would be no news from “Fantastic 4”, and only confirmed that Matt Shakman will be the director, which was previously announced. But from here, came the strong Marvel news at the event.

Daredevil, Thunderbolts and other wonders

To the surprise of the attendees, Vincent D’Onofrio showed up to present the first preview of ‘Echo’, the new Marvel series for Disney +. In the preview, Kingpin’s fate could be seen after ‘Hawkeye’, who appears with a band in his eye, which destroyed him.

And while he wasn’t even there for the general public, Kevin Feige gave way to Charlie Cox, who said his appearance in “She-Hulk” is about to appear. While confirming that “Daredevil: Born Again” has a new logo and will begin recording its 18 episodes in early 2023.

The event began to close with details on “Captain America: New World Order”, firstly, its new logo and, secondly, the confirmation that Joaquín Torres will be the new Falcon. Feige himself claimed that even though the Avengers were disbanded, that doesn’t mean there are no heroes, and so he introduced “Thunderbolts”.

The cast of the new group known as “The Thunderbolts” will be led by Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Wyatt Russel as the United States. Agent, David Harbor as Red Soldier, as well as Taskmaster, Ghost and Valentina. While even the first advance remained exclusive.

And to close the event, a new preview of “The Marvels” has arrived, starring Brie Larson, Iman Vellani and Teyonah Parris, respectively as Carol Danvers, Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeu. The teaser confirmed that it will be a story in which the 3 heroines swap places every time they use their powers.
