Ke Huy Quan (The Goonies, Indiana Jones and the cursed templeAnd All Anything All at once) joined the cast of Marvel’s Loki Season 2! This fantastic casting news has been dropped Kevin Feige during the unveiling of the Marvel D23 Expo today and fans went crazy over the casting.
Quan walked out onto the stage along with the rest of the cast, including Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Rafeael Casal, Wunmi Mosaku And Richard E. Grant.
When Quan came out, he joked: “I am very confused: this is not the Indiana Jones panel? “, referring to his involvement with the franchise and the fact that Harrison Ford and the Indiana Jones 5 the troupe had taken the stage earlier.
This addition from Quan is pretty exciting and it’s great to see him return to action in these great projects after all these years. It will be a great addition to the cast!
Fiege also unveiled the first trailer for Loki Season 2, which aren’t releasing online yet. In the trailer, we see Loki back on TVA but he gets ripped over time in a weird and glitchy way, saying “I’ve seen terrible and terrible things”.
Loki is also shown hammering through a wall, revealing Kang the Conqueror’s head statues behind it and says, “War is coming”. In another scene, Loki meets Ke Huy Quan, who appears to be playing a TVA archivist.
There is a footage of an old Hollywood-style premiere and we see that Sylvie is listening to records in a music store. There is a photo of Loki and Mobius wearing vintage tuxedos for some reason. There’s a little bit of comedy, and then it cuts to Loki falling in the middle of the TVA building.
The trailer ends with Loki saying, “I don’t want you to think I’m the bad guy in all of this.” Mobius responds to this by saying, “Who says you were?” Then Loki responds in a funny way by listing all the people in the MCU that he has met who would consider him a villain.
If you’re a fan of Loki’s first season, there’s no doubt you’ll love what’s in store for season 2. It looks great!
