During Disney’s D23 Expo, Disney + released the first teaser trailer for Tim Allenthe next series I Santa Claus. The series will continue the story of the three original films and in it, Scatt Calvin’s Santa Claus announces his retirement and is looking for his replacement.
In the story, Calvin wants to step down from his Santa duties and “provide his family with a new life south of the North Pole. With his 65th birthday on the horizon, Scott, whose Santa magic is starting to wear off, looks for a replacement Santa suitable enough to run the lab and take care of the elves.
After announcing his retirement plans, you’ll see Santa interview NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning for the position. As you might expect, it’s not going very well. I have a feeling Calvin will have a hard time finding someone to take his place.
Allen is joined in the series by Elizabeth Mitchell who will reprise the role of Carol Calvin / Mrs. Claus, respectively. David Krumholtz will also return as Bernard the Elf, the elf leader of Santa’s workshop.
I Santa Claus will premiere with two episodes on Disney + on November 16.
