There have already been a lot of really cool things announced at Disney’s D23 Expo this year. One of my favorite things was the amazing news that we are receiving a Inside and out 2coming to cinemas in summer 2024.
Towards the end of the Pixar part of the panel, director Pietro Doctor was interrupted by Amy Poehler so that he could break the news to the crowd. With the film coming out in just under two years, there wasn’t much information to provide, but Poehler has dropped a few things to expect when we see the film.
She let us know that things have changed in Riley’s world since we last saw her. She will be a teenager in this next chapter of the story and there will be new emotions for us that we can’t wait.
The sequel will be directed by Kelsey Mannwho will take over the work from the Doctor. Meg La Fauve will return as a screenwriter and will be produced by Mark Nielsen.
I loved the 2015 movie In reverse, it had everything you’d expect from a Disney adult movie. It looks like the sequel will address everything that comes with being a teenager and if it’s anything like the first, we’ll all cry.
