Disney Animation will release “Wish” in 2023 to celebrate its 100th anniversary

Well, that’s the story Disney wants to explore with “Wish”, its next animated film. A film that already aspires to be a new bomb on par with the best films of the studio.

The announcement of ‘Wish’ was made to beg during the celebration of Expo D23. The panel shared by Pixar, Disney Live-Action and Disney Animation was giving its final hits when they finally dropped the bomb. The last of the three subsections had a new story in development, which delved into “Disney magic” than ever. Additionally, the film will serve the company to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2023.

At the moment they did not want to reveal too many details about the plot. The little that was shown during the aforementioned panel is that a hero, Asha, a hero who senses darkness in the Realm of Wishes. Therefore, he decides to make a wish on a star, which suddenly comes to life. That same star who has seen so many Disney movies over the years.

An ambitious production

The film will have all possible ingredients for the success and self-celebration of the House of the Rat. To begin with, his cast will include recent Oscar winner Ariana DeBose in the role of Asha, while the real Alan Tudyk returns to Disney again and will give voice to Valentino, a cute goat who accompanies the protagonist. Julia Michaels will be in charge of writing the songs for “Wish”. And finally, it should be noted that the new animation will be a kind of 3D that mimics hand drawing.

“Wish” will be released in theaters a November 2023.
