Terror Films has released a trailer for a new Bigfoot movie titled The wild man. In the film, “Young women went missing in Ochopee, FL, without a single suspect in custody. A young reporter, Sara, convinces her crew to join her investigation as she travels to Ochopee to document her findings, but they soon realize their presence in this city is not welcome. “
Determined to find her story, “Sara convinces her friends to stay with her, because they are dealing with something big. After meeting Dale, the city’s infamous conspiracy theorist, she is convinced that he knows more than he is willing to share. The crew indulges Dale’s ridiculous theories, even accompanying him to the Florida swamps on his mission to show them “The Wild Man”, hoping that he somehow reveals his guilt. But what the crew uncovers is a much deeper secret than fairy tales and legends. What they discover is much darker and more sinister than they expected.
The monster in this film is called the “skunk monkey”, also known as Florida Bigfoot. Even with this monster’s involvement, things take some unexpected turns in history. It’s definitely not your regular Bigfoot movie.
The film comes from the director Ryan Justice (Followers), and was filmed during the pandemic. The movie stars Michele Pare (bad mood, The curse of the resuscitator), Lauren Crandall (Share or die), Giuliano Verde (Lovecraft country), And Mike Reed.
The director said in a statement: “We used our downtime to create and develop projects. The wild man it was the perfect project to do at that time. As a native of Florida, the legend of the Skunk monkey (Florida Bigfoot) has always had our interest. We wanted to make a fun movie around the legend and do something different with the bigfoot movie genre. “
The wild man will premiere on digital platforms on September 30th.
