BlondeAndrew Dominick’s long-awaited and highly anticipated Marilyn Monroe biography starring Ana de Armas had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Thursday night, and the audience gave the film a standing ovation for 11 minutes after the credits ended.

The audience at Sala Grande sang the song “Anna, Anna, Anna” at the end of the Netflix movie, which lasted for 2 hours and 46 minutes. Brad Pitt, who produced the movie, excited the crowd in the hall.

The Netflix title was one of the top screenings in Venice, which will conclude on Saturday. Dominic also attended tonight along with De Arma, Adrien Brody and Julianne Nicholson.

Deadline’s Damon Wise wrote in his review: “Blonde It encapsulates the entire concept of a Hollywood biopic and achieves something almost unprecedented.”
