New trailer for POKEMON SCARLET and POKEMON VIOLET shows three story options and more

This morning, The Pokémon Company released a new trailer for Scarlet Pokémon And Violet Pokémon. The games will be released on Nintendo Switch on November 18th and will take place in the Spanish-influenced Paldea region. This is the ninth generation of base Pokémon games, and fans are thrilled! You can pre-order your copy now from the eShop or your favorite retailers including GameStop (affiliate link). Which version will you play.

Treasure Hunts and three narrative paths are highlighted in the new trailer. We’ve also seen the double battle appear, which is exciting, and we’ve met some of the new characters we’re going to find and some new Pokémon. It appears that at least some gyms will have challenges to complete before they can be challenged. There are some really cool things throughout the trailer and can we give up for our boy Sudowoodo finally becoming a weed type? I am so proud of him!

The three story paths are Victory Road, Path of Legends, and Starfall Street. Victory Road is the traditional Gym challenge and quest to become the Pokémon Champion. Path of Legends is a story involving the search for rare ingredients called Herba Mystica with the Upperclassman Arven. Starfall Street will involve you by challenging the delinquents known as Team Star. One of the big pushes for Scarlet And Viola it’s the open world and therefore the game is designed to let you explore these three stories however you like. What will your main goal be?

Another feature I didn’t notice in the trailer is “Let’s Go!” characteristic. In Paldea, you can have a partner Pokémon accompany you around, which is always a pleasure, but there’s more. You can tell the Pokémon to go scouting in one direction and it will collect items in the area and even have automatic battles. OH MY GOD THIS IS GREAT!

Some of the new characters for Scarlet And Viola they include Mela, the leader of Team Star, the Chaiorwoman of the Pokémon Geeta League, and the Grass-type gym leader Brassius. You can find them and the default images of Team Star Recruits right here.

New Pokémon revealed include Armarouge, Ceruledge, and Klawf. I love all these designs. The first two look like Mega Man characters, but that’s not bad. I particularly love Klawf! He looks so silly and cute at the same time. I’ll probably add some of these guys to my team. Furthermore, Armarouge will be exclusive to Scarlet while Ceruledge is at Viola exclusive.

  • Armarouge

    • Armarouge’s armor belonged to an illustrious warrior and is the source of the energy used for his Psychic-type moves. He also uses the psychic abilities of this armor to control the energy of the fire within his body and unleash attacks.

    • Klawf can rotate their bulging eyeballs to see everything around them, eliminating all of their blind spots. They can cling upside down on cliffs to ambush their prey from above, however, they are eventually stunned by the blood flowing to their heads, so they cannot stay upside down for very long.
