UNRESOLVED MYSTERIES Renewed for a third season on Netflix

We have good news for all of you fans of Unsolved mysteries! Netflix has announced that the show will return for a third season, or volume, as the streamer refers. The first six episodes, known as volume one, aired in July 2020, and the second volume launched in October 2020.

After the launch of the first twelve episodes, over 5,000 suggestions were sent to the Unsolved mysteries squad. Renewed interest in a case highlighted in the series – the investigation into Alonzo Brooks’ death – has encouraged the FBI to reopen the case.

The series comes from the original creators Cosgrove / Meurer Productions and Stranger things 21 Laps Entertainment by executive producer Shawn Levy. It will contain more inexplicable disappearances, tragic events and bizarre events: the first two volumes have included stories such as a strange death in Oslo, tsunami spirits in Japan and UFOs in Massachusetts.

Unsolved mysteries will be back on Tuesday 18 October. Scheduled as a three-night event, the series will release episodes weekly; the new episodes will be released on October 18, October 25 and November 1. At the moment, Netflix has not yet announced the official episode count for the third installment, but since the other two volumes consisted of 6 episodes each, it seems likely.

I am excited about a new season of Unsolved mysteries! It’s a great show and I’ve loved what they’ve done so far with the reboot. Will you tune into Netflix to watch Volume 3?
