Netflix series LEAGUE OF LEGENDS ARCANE wins Emmy Award for Best Animated Program

One of the best shows that came out last year was Netflix and Riot Games’ League of Legends animated series Arcane. This series has been amazing and one of my favorite projects has been released and I am happy to hear that it won Best Animated Program at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards!

Arcane is now the first ever streaming show to win this award, which is pretty awesome! It has definitely earned and deserves the award. He beat Bob’s burgers, The Simpsons, Rick and Morty, and Marvel Studios What happens if…? in the category. These are all fun shows, but, of course, Arcane would have won!

Co-creator of the series Christian Linke accepted the award and said this:

Thank you for this. It’s a big deal for us since we come from video games. It was great to see the world embrace our characters and our stories, so thanks to Netflix who believed in us from the start, thanks to Riot Games, who worked on the whole IP … and all the people who are. been with our game and League of Legends for the last 12 years or so which helped make it as big as it is now.

I should also point out that Arcane picked up the award at the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards, a separate event that precedes the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards main ceremony to be held on September 12 next week. Arcane he also won three Emmys for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation.

Arcane was also nominated for Best Sound Editing for a Comedy / Drama (Half Hour) and Animation Series, but lost in the category against the HBO series Barry.

The series is set in the utopian region of Piltover and the oppressed underground of Zaun, and the story follows the “origins of two iconic League champions and the power that will tear them apart”. Those two characters are Vi and Jinx, sisters who find themselves at odds after a series of tragic and unfortunate events.

If you haven’t seen Arcane yet, do yourself a favor and jump inside! You will like it!

Hailee Steinfeldproviding Vi’s voice in the series, expressed his support for Arcane’s big win on Twitter:
