
Carla Gugino (The Hill House obsession) is set to the opposite star Melissa Benoist (Super girl) in HBO’s upcoming political drama series Max The girls on the busby Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Prods. Natasha Behnam, Cristina ElmoreAnd Brandon Scott also protagonist of the series.
The girls on the bus centers on Sadie McCarthy (Benoist), “a journalist who makes Tim Crouse’s romantic Guys on the bus book and that he demolished his entire life for his chance to cover a presidential campaign for the paper of records. Sadie sets out on a journey and eventually bonds with three female contestants, Grace (Gugino), Lola (Behnam), and Kimberlyn (Elmore). Despite their differences, the women become a newfound family with a front row seat for the biggest soap opera in the city: the battle for the White House.
Gugino’s Grace Gordon Greene is explained to be a veteran journalist, friend and mentor of Sadie (Benoist). Grace is a journalistic royalty, known as the queen of the scoop.
The series comes from writers and executive producers Amy Chozick And Julie Plec, and the series is inspired by a chapter from Chozick’s book Chasing Hillary.
