Trippy Teaser Trailer for Nicolas Winding Refn’s Limited Netflix Drama COPENHAGEN COWBOY

A teaser trailer has been released for the limited detective drama, Copenhagen cowboyby the Danish writer and director Nicolas Winding Refnwho previously made the films Voyage And Only God forgives. The six-episode series marks the director’s first production in his native Denmark in 15 years.

“Copenhagen cowboy revolves around a young heroine named Miu (Angela Bundalovic). After a life of servitude and on the brink of a new beginning, she traverses the disturbing landscape of the criminal world of the city of the same name. In pursuit of justice and revenge, she meets her nemesis, Rakel, as they embark on an odyssey through the natural and the supernatural. In the end, the past transforms and defines their future, as the two women discover that they are not alone, they are many ”.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t get any of that storyline in the trailer. It left me pretty lost and uninterested in the show. Hopefully another trailer will be released that gives us a better idea of ​​the story.

The series will debut at the Venice Film Festival later this week and Netflix will be out worldwide later this year.
