I consulted my lawyer and she said, “You can’t say half of that.” So I will do what I can say,” he said proudly. He showed he was looking forward to the big night, before announcing that his lawyer had cut his set: “When I come out of this pandemic, I’m really excited to be performing. I’m so excited to be doing it,” he said.

Whoopi also said that sometimes the host has to console the stars who didn’t win the awards they expected, and Amy did it in her own twist: “You lost. We’re getting drunk!”
