Legendary Entertainment is looking to step away from Warner Bros. now that he’s CEO David Zaslav is responsible for things. They are obviously not comfortable with the way she handles things down there and are trying to find a new home in the studio now that their contract has expired.
According to Deadline, Sony Pictures tops the chart, but Paramount Pictures is also in the mix as a possibility. Both studios could greatly benefit from a partnership like this with the types of films Legendary produces, and Sony certainly has the means to offer them more than Paramount.
Some of the films that Legendary is currently developing under WB include Dune: Part Two, Godzilla vs. Kong 2And Christmas story Christmas.
It makes sense that Legendary wants to move on and build a relationship with another studio.
