Each chapter of the third season of “The Boys” was more shocking than the previous one and, among the many things that happened in the plot, one of the most unforgettable moments was seeing the past of Black Noir “, told in a very original way, with cartoons .

It was during episode 7 of ‘The boys’ when Black Noir’s past is revealed, where his relationship with Payback and his leader, Soldier Boy, played by Jensen Ackles, is revealed. In the flashback, it can be seen that the evil Corporal smashed his skull when Night Owl set out to organize a rebellion against him.

This moment is so different from the rest of the Amazon Prime Video series, it left fans wondering why it was done that way. And now, Eric Kripke, the show’s showrunner, reveals because black noir watches cartoons ‘The boys’, and it is due to the way in which he wanted to tell this moment.

The creator reveals that “the first idea was flashbacks, but direct flashbacks. One, they can be a little boring. And two, we’ve already done that. We had to do a good fight to make them exciting. So I didn’t want to do them again. ”He added:“ If there’s an idiosyncratic way I can tell a story, I’ll take it because it’s so much more fun to break out of the box and tell something unique. ”

Finally, the same creator has announced that, despite the death of Black Noir at the hands of Homelander, he could return to the fourth season of ‘The Boys’. And now that in the past he has suffered a lot of abuse by the only figures he has ever felt close to, the new version of him may return more ruthless than ever.
