“I’ve been in this business for 30 years and I always thought if I could play the role of a white man, I would win. But you know, you want to know why it didn’t work? They must be written with the truth of my journey in all its beauty and all its pain,” he said.
Halle continued: “We will use our emotional intelligence and tell stories that are not biased. No, we will tell stories that see us fully in all our multiplicity and contradictions. Because we trust ourselves and we are afraid. We are vulnerable and strong. … we are all and all of this and we are at the same time!”
